With the arrival of the 22th Teachers'Day, NENU's 60th Anniversary Celebration was held at Changchun Five Ring Gymnasium on the morning of September, 10th.
Among the participants are: Secretary of Jilin Provincial Party Committee Wang Yunkun; Governor of Jilin Province Wang Min; Chairman of Jilin Provincial CPPCC; Vice Minister of Ministry of Education Chen Xiaoya; provincial and municipal leaders Quan Zhezhu, Wang Rulin, Li Shenxue, Wang Songhe, Mi Fengjun, Chen Xiaoguang, and Zhu Yejing; President of Jilin University Zhou Fengqi; General Secretary of Jilin Province Liu Runpu; General Secretary of Jilin Provincial CPPCC Wang Fuyuan. In addition, the participants also include some academicians from Chinese Academy of Sciences; relevant leaders from Ministry of Education, Jilin Province, and Changchun City; presidents or vice presidents from over 30 universities abroad or regions of Hongkong, Maco and Taiwan; leaders from more than 80 universities of mainland China, and friends of all walks of life as well as NENU's retired and current leaders and representatives of teachers and students.
The ceremony was presided over by NENU's Secretary of Party Committee Sheng Lianxi. President Shi Ningzhong delivered the opening speech. Vice Minister of Ministry of Education Chen Xiaoya read out the letter of congratulation from the Ministry of Education.
During the anniversary celebration, NENU receives congratulatory telegram from various units and over hundred universities such as Tsinghua University.
