On the 5th and 6th of November, Sheng Lianxi, the school's Party Secretary; Yang Xiaohui, Vice President; Liu Haimin, Vice Party Secretary and personnel in charge of the school's League Committee went to Banan District, Chongqing City for a visit to the school's 8th graduates volunteer teaching group. The 8th graduates volunteer teaching group, consisting of 9 members, started one year volunteering work in 6 middle schools in Banan District, Chongqing City from this August.
With gifts for the students, the school leaders went to Qinghua Middle School, Tuqiao Middle School, Jieshi Middle School respectively to visit the school's volunteers to get to know about their work and living condition.
On Nov. 6th, Banan District Volunteer Teaching Working Meeting of NENU's Graduates Volunteer Teaching Group was held in Banan District Commission of Chongqing City. At the meeting, all the members of Graduates Volunteer Teaching Group made reports on their gains from the school's internship training, thoughts and feelings in National Volunteer Teaching Group training at Tongji University. They expressed their gratitude toward their mother school's education which equipped them with good professional and overall qualities and enabled them to quickly adapt to work and life environment in Banan District, and their determination in successfully completing one year volunteer teaching work.
Lu Pengfei, Vice Secretary of Youth League Committee of Chongqing Party Committee; Yao Daiyun, Secretary of Banan District Commission gave speeches respectively, expressing their gratitude to the school's Party Committee for their concern of graduates volunteer teaching work, praising graduates volunteer teaching group for its contribution. After students'reports, Sheng Lianxi pointed out Graduates Volunteer Teaching Group Project, run by League Centre Committee and Ministry of Education, was an important project for promoting basic education in the west and training persons with high overall qualities. He affirmed beneficial work done by the 8th Graduates Volunteer Teaching Group and good results achieved by them on basic education and volunteer service in Banan District. He also expressed his hope in the four roles of the 8th teaching volunteers.
In addition, from the 1st to 4th of November, Liu Haimin, the school's Vice Party Secretary, on behalf of the school, visited two Ningxia Team volunteers of the 8th Graduates Volunteer Teaching Group during his visit to Zhongning County.
