Recently, the competition of "the First Elite, Outstanding, Special Scientific and Technological Periodical of Chinese University" and "2006 Outstanding Editor and Editorial Works of Scientific and Technological Periodical of Chinese University", sponsored by Science and Technology Bureau of MOE, has concluded with complete success. Journal of NENU won the First Elite Scientific and Technological Periodical Award of Chinese University; in addition, Shi Shaoqing was awarded as "2006 Outstanding Editor of Scientific and Technological Journal of Chinese University" and the thesis edited by Tao Lifu achieved the first prize of 2006 Outstanding Editorial Works of Scientific and Technological Periodical.
The awards were given to 52 kinds of elite periodicals, 98 kinds of excellent periodicals, 100 kinds of special periodicals, 149 outstanding editors and 100 excellent editorial works (30 first prizes and 70 second prizes).
