NENU's Program "Scientific Creating and Intellect Attracting Base of Plant Genetics" applied by Professor Liu Bao, the team leader in China, was approved by Education Ministry and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs. The program will be completed in 5 years, with the starting fund of 1.8 million RMB in 2007 and the total estimated fund of 9 million RMB. The successful approval indicates the school has gained recognition in discipline building and possesses the competence and competitive strength to undertake projects of high level. To guarantee the successful implementing of this project, the school has established "Plan 111" School Management Office, headed by school leader and persons-in-charge from Science & Technology Management, International Cooperation and Exchanges, Personnel Department and Financial Department.
