By the end of 2006, the number of projects subsidized by the Youth Fund of the school is 405 with a total amount of subsidy of 5.243 million yuan. The young teachers of the school successfully applied 167 projects based on the Youth Fund within the school with a total subsidy of more than 10 million yuan. There are 10 projects of National Social Science Fund, 9 of National Natural Science Fund, 2 key projects of Key Research Base of Humanity & Social Science of the Ministry of Education, and 13 of Planning Projects of Humanity & Social Science of the Ministry of Education.
Based on the Youth Fund of the School, the young teachers published 170 SCI/EI dissertation on natural science, 20 national dissertation on philosophy and social science, 87 of key magazines, 91 of CSSCI and 3 dissertation papers reprinted by "Xin Hua Digest" in full text. In recent years, 43 academic monographs and 3 translation works have been published, more than 10 projects gained provincial awards, 11 projects applied for patents, 4 were approved and 8 were named after "Dong Shi", 1 dissertation was nominated for the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation and 1 teacher was subsidized by the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Fund.
