On Dec. 28th, Foreign Experts New Year Reception sponsored by International Cooperation and Exchanges was held in the banquet hall of Redbuds Hotel. Foreign experts of the school, President Shi Ningzhong, Vice-President Yang Zhong, persons in charge of the School of Foreign Languages, International Relations Institute, and Trans-Japan Preparing School attended the reception.
In 2006, NENU invited 50 long-term foreign experts and 282 short-term visiting experts. 4 of them were awarded "Jilin Excellent Foreign Experts" and 4 "NENU Excellent Foreign Experts".
