In Jan. 2007, Ministry of Education announced "Projects of 2006 College Science & Technology Award", and evaluated 124 first prizes and 196 second prizes. 7 normal colleges in the nation won 13 awards (4 first prizes, 9 second prizes). NENU, as the first corresponding unit, has won four awards (1 fist prize, 3 second prizes) for achievements in scientific research, and rank the first in level and quantity among national normal colleges.
