On March 30, the first seminar of NENU's "High Level Forum on Ideology" in 2007 was held. Professor Hua Jian, Director of the Cultural Industry Research Center of Shanghai Academy of Social Science, Contributing Researcher of International Cooperation Center of the State Development and Reform Committee, and Advice Expert of Shanghai Municipal Government, came as guest speakers to the seminar and delivered a wonderful lecture of "Culture + Creation= Treasure―Cultural Creation and Improvement of Urban Comprehensive Competitive Powers ". Leaders of NENU, such as Zhang Zhiguo, Ma Shang, Liu Haimin, Zhao Ying, all senior administrators and some teacher and student representatives, etc. attended the seminar.
In addition, on the lecture, NENU held a ceremony to appoint professor Hua as a visiting professor of NENU. Vice President Liu Haimin presented the letter of appointment on behalf of the university.
