Recently, Department of Higher Education, MOE, issued a notice on the appraisal result of undergraduate teaching of English majors in ordinary higher schools. The undergraduate teaching of English majors in NENU was awarded excellence.
The expert groups, organized by steering committee under Ministry of Education on undergraduate teaching of English major, appraised the undergraduate teaching of English majors of 37 national ordinary higher schools in 2006. Among them, 15 schools (including NENU) achieved the standard of excellence.
