Recently, Ministry of Publicity, Central Civilization Office, Ministry of Education, China Youth, and All-China Students' Federation commended the advanced units in 2006 Social Practice of Xan Xia Xiang (Bringing Culture，Technology and Healthcare Skills to the Countryside )by College and Technical Secondary School Students during their summer vacation. NENU was awarded as the advanced unit at national level.
On the commendation of Publicity Department of Jilin Provincial Committee, Jilin Civilization Office, NENU was awarded Excellent Organizing Prize. 8 social practice groups including that of the School of Education Science were awarded as the Excellent Group. 2 groups including that of the School of Software were awarded as Excellent Group of College and Countryside Service Program. 6 articles were awarded as Excellent Survey Report.
