On May. 2nd, Natural History Museum of NENU and Jilin Province Natural History Museum held opening ceremony. Guests presented on the ceremony were: Chen Xiaoguang, Vice-Governor of Jilin Provincial People's Government, Sang Fengwen, Gao Wen, A Gula, Fang Jianyu, and Chang Wanhai, former leaders of the province, Wang Fuyuan, General Secretary of CPPCC Jilin Provincial Committee, Feng Wei, Deputy Secretary-General of Jilin Provincial People's Government, Li Jun, Director of Provincial Department of Education, Liu Yangyi, Former Deputy Secretary-General of CPPCC Jilin Provincial Committee, Peng Yonglin, Deputy Director of Jilin Province Development and Reform Commission, and so on. Leaders of the school: Sheng Lianxi, Shi Ningzhong, Zhang Zhiguo, Xue Kang, Yang Xiaohui, Mashang, Liu Haimin, Zhao Ying, Liu Yichun, Zhang Shaojie and Su Zhongmin attended the ceremony. Vice-President Zhang Zhiguo hosted the opening ceremony.

After the opening ceremony, leaders and guests visited the Natural History Museum following the lecturer. Teachers and students of Middle School Attached to NENU and Primary School Attached to NENU, and many visitors visited the museum on the day.
