On May 28th, the opening ceremony for 2007 Academic Activities Series of the Programme of Introducing Talents of Plant Genes to Universities, sponsored by Ministry of Education and State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China was held at Report Hall of the Gallery of University History, attended by Xue Kang, the school's Vice President and Feng Jiang, President Assistant and Director of Science & Technology Management. Besides, 6 well-known experts from abroad, experts and scholars in the nation, persons in charge of related sections, as well as some of teachers and students from School of Life and Science attended.
At the ceremony, Xue Kang extended a warm welcome, introduced the school's general situation and briefed about National Base of Introducing Talents of Discipline to University Program. Situation of the school's science and research was introduced by persons in charge of School of Life and Science.
After the ceremony, experts from abroad are to be invited to give seminars in School of Life and Science.
