Parts of Mongolian Teachers and Students of NENU Attend the 5th Mongolian Nadam Fair in Changchun City

Published:June 19, 2007 Review:

Recently, under the organization of United Front of Party Committee, 18 Mongolian teachers and students of NENU attended the 5th Mongolian Nadam Fair, hosted by Changchun Ethnic Affairs Commission of in Culture Plazza. They watched the brilliant song and dance performances with distinct national characters and took part in some traditional folk entertainment activities, such as toxophily, etc.

"Nadam" means "entertainment" or "game" in Mongolia. Nadam Fair, which is held during the period of late spring to early summer, is the traditional festival fair in Mongolia, where some traditional entertainment activities are held, such as song and dance performances, horse race, wrestling, etc.
