Recently, NENU athletes and School of Physical Education won the first place of Group A and the second place of Group C respectively in the 5th Track and Field Meet for University Students in Changchun City, which was hosted by Publicity Department of Municipal Committee, Changchun Sports Bureau and undertaken by NENU. In addition, NENU was honored as "Ideological Civilization Awards", Excellent Units in Art Program, Exemplar Units in Parade of Military Training and Special Contribution Units.
Over 40 thousand students from 35 universities and colleges in Changchun attended the meeting where 934 athletes took part in 34 events, among whom 45 broke 22 records.
