Recently, Vincent Andrew, Professor and President Assistant of University of Valencia in Spain visited NENU. Sheng Lianxi, Director of Party Committee, and Zhang Shaojie, Vice-President met with Professor Andrew. Persons in charge of International Cooperation and Exchanges, and College of Foreign Students Education attended the meeting.
Professor Andrew appreciated NENU's efforts in the establishment of Confucius Institution in the University of Valencia, and expressed that the University of Valencia would push forward the related project of the institution, bring up the interest of the local students and citizens to Chinese language culture that they would get a better understanding and learning of Chinese language culture. At present, there are about 150 students learning Chinese in the University of Valencia. The school will send one or two teachers to teach in the University of Valencia and help build Confucius Institution.
