On September, the 6th, the Opening Ceremony for freshman of year 2007 was held on main and Jingyue campus respectively. The party and administrative leaders of NENU-Sheng Lianxi, Shi Ningzhong, Zhang Zhiguo, Xue Kang, Yang Xiaohui, Liu Haimin, Zhao Ying, Liu Yichun, Zhang Shaojie, Su Zhongmin, former leader and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Hao Shui etc attended the ceremony. Vice president Zhang Zhiguo presided over the ceremony on both campuses.
This year our university recruited 6109 students from across the country among whom there are 3615 undergraduates, 2146 postgraduates and 348 doctors. Different from previous years, 1352 undergraduates will enjoy free normal education.
