The Seminar of 21st Century for Transmitting Chinese Ancient Books to the World Hosted by NENU

The Seminar of the 21st Century for Transmitting Chinese Ancient Books to the World and the (enlarged) meeting of editorial board of Journal of Ancient Books Collation and Studies was co-hosted by School of Chinese Language and Literature, Ancient Book Reorganization Research Institute and the Newsroom of Journal of Ancient Books Collation and Studies in NENU. More than 40 noted specialists and scholars attended the seminar. They were from Peking University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Wuhan University, Jinan University, Jilin University, University of Hong Kong, Beijing Normal University, Central China Normal University, Capital Normal University, the Literary Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Culture Research Center of Chinese Academy of Art, Zhonghua Book Company, the Newsroom of Guangming Daily and other colleges, universities and units.

Director of National College Committee for Ancient Books Studies Professor Zhou Xunchu in Nanjing University, Professor Sin Chow Yiu, Head of Department of Chinese in the University of Hong Kong, NENU Vice-president Liu Haimin, former Vice-president Zhan Ziqing, President Assistant and Director General of Social Science Management Liu Jianjun, main officials of School of Chinese Language and Literature and staff were present in the opening ceremony.

Liu Haimin gave a warm welcome to the specialists and scholars in his speech. Professor Sin Chow Yiu, Head of Department of Chinese in the University of Hong Kong and Professor Huang Tianshu in the College of Literature in Capital Normal University were appointed as the Adjunct Professors of our school.
