NENU held the summing-up and commendation meeting for excellent coaches and athletes at the 3rd China University Basketball Super League and the 24th Universiade in the conference room on the 7th floor of the Administrative Building on the main campus. Vice president Zhang Zhiguo was present at the meeting. Heads of School of Physical Education together with coaches and athletes of all sports delegations also attended the meeting.
At the 3rd China University Basketball Super League and the 24th Universiade, athletes from our university displayed great perseverance and struggling spirit, exquisite skills, and brilliant sportsmanship, and accomplished outstanding achievements. The basketball team of NENU won national champion of the 3rd China University Basketball Super League, and Han Jinru, a student of Grade 2005 from School of Physical Education, won the 4th place in the men’s long jump final at the 24th Universiade, marking a historical breakthrough in the competitive level of the undergraduate sport in Jilin.
