Recently, a letter from the CPC Central Propaganda Department instructed that “The Implementation scheme for the Compiling of the Second batch of Key Textbooks of the Marxism Theory Research and Construction Project” had been approved by the leaders of the central government. Assessed by expert panel, the project research plan applied by our university won in bid for the textbook implementation scheme of the key project “History of the People’s Republic of China” under the charge of the CPC Central Propaganda Department and ranked the first. Professor Wu Minxian, director of the project, was appointed chief expert of the project group in charge of the project of “History of the People’s Republic of China”. Associate professor Chen Qian was appointed members of the project group.
