From October 23rd to 24th, organized by EduMonde (CHW), NENU, Folkeuniversitetet, and YA MEDIA, undertaken by School of Media Science, the First International Symposium on Media, Education and Social Development was held in Changchun. 60 experts from eight countries and regions were present at the symposium.
Vice President Zhang Shaojie delivered a greeting speech at the opening ceremony of the symposium. He briefed on the history of our university and development of various disciplines. Then together with guests of EduMonde, he attended the unveiling ceremony of the Media and Education Development Centre. A thorough discussion was held on the role that media plays in education and social development.Theories and practice concerning media and education were also exchanged through displaying media product and holding discussions among experts and scholars from domestic and abroad.
The successful holding of the symposium will further establish the leading position of our university in the field of promoting education through media domestically.
