Teachers and students from School of Music won awards in the China preliminary competition of the 38th International “Vincenzo Bellini” Competition

On October 28th, Zhang Lihong, associate professor from School of Music won the first prize of the middle-age group in the China preliminary competition of the 38th International Vincenzo Bellini Competition, and Kou Xinhong, an undergraduate of grade 2005 from School of Music, won the consolation prize. 

the China preliminary competition of the 38th International Vincenzo Bellini Competition was jointly sponsored by School Contemporary Music and Art of Ministry of Culture, China Music and Culture Promotion Association, China Music News Agency, the organizing committee of Italian “Vincenzo Bellini” international competition, organized by the Beijing Global Film and Music Service company,  and co-organized by World Chinese Artist Association, Canadian International Artist Music and Dancing Association. The competition was started in 1965 and has been hosted ever since successively for 42 years by now, and it has become one of the ten international music competitions.
