On May 12th, the 7.8-magnitude quake hit Wenchuan County in Sichuan Province and some areas were devastated. On hearing the news, Communist Party branch of Retirees Affairs immediately called on the members to donate money to the affected areas. Until now, all contributions have been remitted to the Red Cross Society of China.
