Party Committee and Workers’ Union of Distant & Continuing Education Department Provide Aids to Students from Earthquake hit Areas

Published:May 15, 2008 Review:

After the 7.8-magnitude quake in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, Department of Distant & Continuing Education tallied up the number of students from earthquake-hit areas. Among the 20 preparatory college students of national minority groups from earthquake-affected regions, there are 8 students whose hometowns are the hardest hit areas such as Wenchuan and Beichuan. On hearing this, the Party Committee and Workers’ Union take immediate actions to help these students.

The teaching faculty and students of the department have donated 7000 yuan to these students in order to ensure their daily life on campus.

These students are calm and determined to continue their study with the help and care from the university and their department.
