From May 4th to 21st, President Shi Ningzhong and related personnel from Academic Affairs, International Cooperation and Exchanges, School of Mathematics and Statistics, Library altogether 6 persons paid a friendly visit to America and Hong Kong.
During the visit, delegation of NENU visited eight universities including Washington University in St. Louis, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, University of Minnesota�Twin Cities, and University of Alaska, Anchorage. We reached an agreement with Washington University in St. Louis, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and University of Minnesota�Twin Cities respectively on sending excellent Masters and Doctors of NENU to these universities for further education and discussed "2+2" program with University of Missouri. University of Alaska, Anchorage agreed on founding Confucius Institute together and admitting the students from NENU to do Mater’s Degree in School of Education in their university, who will receive the local teacher’s certificate.
During the visit in Hong Kong, delegation of NENU visited the Hong Kong Institute of Education, Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Baptist University and other universities. NENU and the Hong Kong Institute of Education reached an agreement on cooperation and exchange programs between schools and students. NENU discussed programs like cooperation study and communication between scholars with Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Baptist University.
