On June 21, “Foreign Language Teaching and Research Center in Basic Education in Northeast China” in School of Foreign Languages was officially inaugurated by Vice-President Zhang Shaojie and Professor Wang Chuming from the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Officials of Social Science Management read out a letter of approval to set up the centre and heads of School of Foreign Languages presided over the opening ceremony.
After the establishment of the centre, it will play an important role to contact experts of English education at home and abroad and will improve the level of English teaching in basic education in northeast China.
