On September 18th, the opening ceremony of the 5th "Pearl River Piano" National Basic Techniques Competition for Music Education Majors was held in School of Music in Jingyue Campus.
Present at the opening ceremony were: Yang Guiren, Director of Physical Culture, Health and Art Education Department of Ministry of Education, Zhou Yinchang and Yang Ruimin, Vice Director of Art Education Committee of Ministry of Education, Zhang Rui'an, Deputy Secretary General of Art Education Committee of Ministry of Education, Wan Lijun, Section Chief of Art Division of Physical Culture, Health and Art Education Department of Ministry of Education, Zhang Zhiguo, Vice President of NENU, Mai Junhua, Chairman of Labour Union of Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group and Liu Qiang, Section Chief of Physical Culture, Health and Art Education division of Jinlin Province Education Department. Wan Lijun presided over the opening ceremony. Judges of the competition, team leaders of each competing team and contestants attended the opening ceremony.
