On September 18th, undertaken by NENU and Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group, the 5th "Pearl River Piano" National Basic Techniques Competition for Music Education Majors was held in NENU by Physical Culture, Health and Art Education Department of Ministry of Education, Art Education Committee of Ministry of Education.
More than 130 participants from 52 teams on behalf of 28 provinces took part in the competition. The competing events include: piano performance, singing and piano accompanying recital, solo performance, chorus conducting and comprehensive musical knowledge. The competition is scheduled to end on September 23rd.
