Recently, written by scholars of Women's Studies Center of NENU, an investigation report named Gender Analysis in Degree and Graduate Education Development was included in the blue book Reports on Women's Education Development in China No. 1(1978-2008) published by Social Sciences Academic Press (China).
Reports on Women's Education Development in China No. 1(1978-2008) is the first work which systematically elaborates on the general situations of Chinese women's receiving education and unveils the achievement of women’s education development in the past 30 years of reform and opening-up. Through abundant statistics and data, the report conducted an in-depth survey on the development of compulsory education, high school education, secondary vocational education, general undergraduate and junior college education, and degree, graduate education, literacy education, adult education, continuing education, and pre-school education by resorting to the approach of gender analysis. The research also covers the education development in Beijing, Hunan, Gansu, Chongqing municipalities, Yunnan, Hebei and Liaoning provinces. The work with its positivism, originality, advancement and foresightedness well reflect the major characteristics of a blue book.
