On November 29th, normal universities in Northeast China and NENU held a Job Fair for the graduates of the year 2008 in the Convention and Exhibition Center of Changchun. CCTV news made a full coverage of this job fair of NENU. It has been reporting the job fair of NENU for six consecutive years. Mainstream media such as Morning News of CCTV, China National Radio and Xinhua News Agency also highlighted the job fair.
Under the guidance of Students’ Affairs Department of Ministry of Education and the Three Northeastern Provinces Education Bureau, with NENU playing a major part, the job fair was co-organized by 28 normal universities from Northeast China. More than 30,000 graduates and 10,000 postgraduates from the 28 universities and more than 2,400 representatives of over 1,000 employing units from 26 provinces, cities and autonomous regions attended the job fair. About 78,000 job vacancies were provided at the job fair. The overall supply and demand ratio is 1:1.95.
