On 8th of April, the preliminary contest of the 13th "FLTRP Cup" National English Debating Competition for both English and non-English majors (NENU) concluded.
The competition lasted for nearly a month. More than 80 students from School of Foreign Languages competed in group of English majors and over 100 students from 11 other Schools of NENU participated in group of non-English majors. 11 experienced teachers from School of Foreign Languages were invited as judges. Surviving a tortuous journey of preliminary round, two quarter finals and the tough final rounds of presentation, conclusion, free debate and interaction, Grade 2006 students Yan Meng and Lu Zhiqi in group of English majors and Grade 2007 students Lin Xiaoshuang and Jiangshuai in group of non-English majors were awarded First Prize. Now, some of the winners are receiving intensive training for the final rounds of the 13th "FLTRP Cup" National English Debating Competition on 9th of May.
