From April 21st to 22nd, Launch of Teacher Education Innovation Platform of Ministry of Education & Free Teacher Education Conference was held in NENU.
Present at the conference On 21st were Vice-Minister of Education Chen Xiaoya, Director of Teacher Education Department, MOE Guan Peijun, Deputy Director of Teacher Education Department, MOE Song Yonggang, Deputy Governor of Jilin Province Ma Junqing, Party Secretary Song Lianxi, President Shi Ningzhong and Vice-President Liu Yichun of NENU. Leaders from normal universities affiliated to MOE, local teacher education institutions, five middle and primary schools in Northeast China and NENU's Northeast Experimental Zone for Innovation in Teacher Training also attended the conference. Guan Peijun presided over the conference.
On 22nd, an in-depth discussion was held centering on issues of how to cultivate prominent teachers and educators, establish and share teacher training recourses, implement free teacher education reform and special appointment plan and issues concerning students of free teacher education proceeding to study for Master of Education.
