On June 16th, at the invitation of National Engineering Laboratory for Druggable Gene and Protein Screening of NENU, Xu Ying, world-renowned computational biologist, Professor of Department of Biochemistry and Molecular and Director of Institute of Bioinformatics, University of Georgia, visited NENU and made an academic report entitled "Cancer Bioinformatics". Vice President Xue Kang, relevant leaders and teachers from School of Life Science, School of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Computer Science and School of Software attended the public lecture.
In the report, Professor Xu Ying introduced the research and development trends of "cancer bioinformatics", a hot research focus of bioinformatics. Professor Xu also had an in-depth exchange of views with the participants.
