Recently, Ministry of Education has released 2008 acceptance list of distinguished professors and chair professors for Chang Jiang (Cheung Kong) Scholars Program. Professor Han Dongyu from School of History and Culture of NENU was appointed as Chang Jiang Scholar on History of East Asia. Professor Jiang Jiming from the University of Wisconsin-Madison of the United States was appointed as Chang Jiang Scholar on Botany.
Up till now, NENU has appointed 5 distinguished professors and 3 chair professors as Chang Jiang Scholars.
