Recently, as members of the Chinese Delegation, Tang Xiaolong and Jiang Haofeng, two undergraduates of year 2007 from School of Politics and Law, participated in the First Global Model United Nations (GMUN) of Year 2009 held by United Nations Department of Public Information in Geneva. This has been the second time for students from NENU to participate in international exchange activities after taking part in the Asia International Model United Nations.
Present at the GMUN were over 500 student representatives from more than 70 countries as well as authoritative experts from international organizations such as WTO and WHO.
Due to the excellent performance of students from NENU and the active promotion of NENU Model United Nations (NMUN) during the GMUN, NMUN gained access to the database of GMUN, enabling NENU to be the third university of being included in the GMUN database after Peking University and Renmin University of China.
