In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China and in accordance with the Outline of the National Fitness Program, Faculty's relay race around campus, which raised the curtain of the 2nd sports week, was held on the main campus.
More than 300 faculty members selected by the unions of 28 departments of NENU participated in the race. Zhang Zhiguo, vice-President and director of the working committee of sports and arts of NENU, made a speech before the race. After fierce competition, representative teams from School of Physics, Library, Reliance Group, School of Long-distance and Contiuing Education, School of Foreign Languages, Scool of Overseas Education, School of Music, the three main offices, School of Fine Arts, School of Educational Science, and School of Physical Science won the first prize and the rest of the representative teams got the second prize.
After that, students from 19 schools participated in jogging around the campus.
