The period from September 19th to 20th witnessed "3+X Statistics and its Application Workshop 2009" undertaken by School of Mathematics and Statistics. Nearly 30 experts and scholars of statistics field from universities including Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University and Central China Normal University attended the workshop with the theme of "Statistics and its Application". President Shi Ningzhong attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Jointly launched by School of Mathematical Sciences of Beijing Normal University, School of Business of East China Normal University and School of Mathematics and Statistics of NENU "3+X Statistics Workshop 2009" is held annually by the three universities alternatively, covering the multi-dimensional aspects in statistics such as research, application, education, teaching, teaching materials, employment etc.
