Moslem Teachers and Students of NENU Celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr

Published:September 26, 2009 Review:

On September 21st, the day of Moslem's traditional festival, Eid-ul-Fitr, some Moslem students and teachers attended the Salat Eid and the celebration held by State Ethnic Affairs Commission of Changchun City in the Mosque on Changtong Road.

The Xinjiang students from Preparatory School for Chinese Students to Japan performed the traditional ethnic dance in the celebration, which revealed the talents and nice mental outlook of the Moslem students of NENU. They also expressed their best wishes for all the Moslem people in Changchun on behalf of all teachers and students of NENU. Deputy Director of Changchun People's Congress and Professor Wan Zhuping of NENU attended the celebration.

In order to ensure a lucky and happy traditional festival for the Moslem teachers and students, a one-day leave on Eid-ul-Fitr was approved by the university. In addition, the Moslem students got the festival allowance.
