Professor Zhang Ping from Mathematics Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences Lectures in NENU

Recently, at the invitation of the Institute of Applied Mathematics of NENU, Professor Zhang Ping from Mathematics Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences visited NENU and gave a lecture entitled "The Global Weak-Solutions of the Variational Wave Equation of Liquid Crystals" for teachers and students at School of Mathematics and Statistics.

Professor Zhang Ping is a second-grade researcher of the Mathematics Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences and world outstanding young mathematician. He has ever won National Science Fund for outstanding young scholar and Science & Technology Award for Chinese youth. Specializing in microlocal analysis and nonlinear partial differential equations, Professor Zhang Ping has made quite a number of world first-class achievements and has received high praise from his international peers.
