Recently, the awarding ceremony of the competition "Russian Songs Sung by Chinese People", a national culture project in 2009-China Russian Year, has been held in Beijing. Gao Yutao, teacher from School of Music of NENU won a bronze medal.
The competition of "Russian Songs Sung by Chinese People" was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), the Chinese Radio International (CRI), China National Radio and BTV. Gao Yutao, having been awarded, participated as a representative in the performance of Alexander Army Red Flag Song and Dance Troupe of Russia, at which the Chinese and Russian leaders were present.
