Recently, the result of 2009 CUMCM (China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling) of Higher Education Press Cup has been announced. Ten teams from NENU achieved two second prizes at the national level, three first prizes in match area of Jilin (two of them were the national- level second prizes), one second prize and four third prizes in match area of Jilin. With a winning rate of 80%, the results achieved in this contest have enabled NENU to reach a new high in taking part in CUMCM. Up to now, students from NENU have achieved 2 first prizes and 7 second prizes at the national level as well as 26 first prizes, 22 second prizes and 19 third prizes in match area of Jilin since they participated in the contest in 1994.
