A Student from the Middle School Attached to NENU Wins the Gold of 200m Race in the 14th World Middle School Games of 2009

Recently, Zhang Xinwei from the Middle School attached to NENU has won the gold medal in the 200m race in the 14th World Middle School Games of 2009.

As the only participant from the northeastern region of China, Zhang Xinwei took part in both 100m race and 200m race. He won the fifth place in the finals of 100m race, which is the best result Chinese students have ever achieved in 100m race in the World Middle School Games. As for the 200m race, he won the gold by 21.54. This is China's first gold medal in short-distance race in the World Middle School Games.
