The master theses oral defense for postgraduates of the first International Master Program (Taught-in-English) was held at NENU on June 8th.
The International Master Program (Taught-in-English) is a postgraduate program on scholarship provided by the Chinese government. Held by the School of Education Science of NENU on commission of the China Scholarship Council (CSC) in 2008, the program is designed for international students from different cultural and educational background, offering diversified courses focusing on different research areas in pedagogy. Up to now, altogether 24 international students (grade 2008 and 2009) from 14 countries have been registered in the program.
Seven graduates respectively from Eritrea, Malawi, Columbia, Zambia, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Philippine conducted their presentation and oral defense in English. The perspectives of their topic choices and the academic quality of their researches have been affirmed by members of oral defense committee.
