On August 26th and 27th, NENU held an International Conference on Mountain Geosystem and Ecological Security. This conference aims at promoting scientific research and academic communication in the fields of mountain geo-system and ecological security and displaying research results in this field in recent years.
Altogether over 60 experts and scholars attended the conference. The attendees were from more than 10 colleges and universities and scientific research institutes, such as University of California, Los Angeles, University of Missouri, University of Rhode Island, US Geological Survey, Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Northeast Institute of Geography and Agricultural Ecology of CAS and Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
