Former president of NENU Hao Shui passed away at 8: 20 on November 27, 2010 in Changchun at the age of 84. He was a renowned cell biologist, plant geneticist and educator in China. He was also a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences （CAS） and outstanding member of Chinese Communist Party.
