The "21st Century Cup" China College Student English Speech Contest Trials in Northeast Normal University Area Come to a Successful End

On November 19, the "21st Century Cup" China College Student English Speech Contest Trials in Northeast Normal University area came to a successful end. It was sponsored by the Youth League Committee of NENU and undertaken by the Youth League Committee of School of Foreign Languages.

The trials in NENU contest area included the preliminary round, the quarter-final and the final. There were altogether 278 contestants from 18 schools and at last 14 entered into the final list. The final had three rounds: prepared speech, impromptu speech and question-answer session. After fierce competition, undergraduates from School of Foreign Language Qiao Yucheng and Lei Huabing majoring in English Translation and Interpretation got the first prize. They will participate in the trials in Jilin Province on behalf of NENU.
