On the eve of the third anniversary of the Wenchuan earthquake, two student representatives of NENU were invited to take part in the Activities to Sichuan Disasteer Area for 100 National University Students entitled by "Entering the New Homeland" to investigate the re-construction situation. Since the Wenchuan earthquake, NENU has made its contribution to the re-construction of the quake-hit areas by sending volunteer teams of more than 200 people, named, "Nourishing Affection for Bashu" and "Renewing Affection for Bashu" respectively in 2008,2009 and 2011, to carry out a series of activities such as voluntary labor, volunteer teaching assistance and psychological aid.
