On Sep. 2nd, the opening ceremony for students of 2011 was grandly held in the gymnasium of NENU, which turned over a new leaf for the new students who came with passion and expectations.The ceremony was hosted by the president assistant, Zhang Junhui, and the leaders of all schools of NENU attended the ceremony.
Sheng Lianxi, secretary of party committee, delivered a speech. He introduced the history and the present situation of NENU to the new students and proposed 3 hopes to them. Representatives of teachers and students gave a speech respectively at the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the president Shi Ningzhong gave a report named "on How to Be an Excellent University Student" to the new students. In the report, he introduced the history and the orientation, aim and education philosophy of school management and elaborated on the four qualities an excellent university student should have: positive spirits to perfect oneself, interests to learn,passion to create and sense of responsibility to take care of the society.
