From August 30th to September 2nd, "East Asia and Japan" international seminar, hosted by School of History and Culture of NENU and Tonghua Normal University and co-sponsored by Japanese Culture Research Institute and Liaoning University, was held. This is also the 9th academic seminar held by East Asia History Study Team of NENU.
The seminar consisted of two sections which took place in Tonghua Normal University and NENU respectively. More than 30 scholars from home and abroad exchanged their ideas and thoughts on such academic issues as the relationship among Japan, China and Korea peninsular under the current East Asian system and relevant issues concerning history, archaeology and culture. Liu Jianhui, professor of Japan Culture Research Institute Center, gave a keynote speech to teachers and students, and had an academic dialogue and communication with scholars from Taiwan and NENU regarding Chinese modernization, the unification of multi-nationalities, the research and conception of the history of northeast China, etc.
