From September 26th to 27th, the eighth national plenary meeting of Chinese Grassland Society was held, which was also a seminar for academic exchanges. At the meeting, researchers from NENU were elected among the 8th board of directors. Professor Wang Deli was elected vice chairman, Professor Yang Yunfei and Zhang Jiquan were elected directors and Professor Li Jiandong was appointed council adviser.
At the seminar, Professor Wang Deli and Professor Zhang Jiquan respectively gave a talk on "the Biodiversity and Ecological Effects of the Grassland" and "Risk-based Evaluation System of Fire Emergency Management in China's Northern Grassland", which demonstrated NENU's new achievement in the scientific research of grassland.
