Recently the Confucius Institute which was set up jointly by NENU and Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology was inaugurated. President Sheng Lianxi of NENU and some relevant responsible persons from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange attended the ceremony. Up till now, NENU has set up four Confucius Institutes and one Confucius Classroom aboard.
The Confucius Institute of Seneca College is the first institute in Toronto and the eleventh in Canada.
